That's right folks, it's CHRISTMAS
MONTH!! Santa's coming with
his sled full of presents,
As you can see below we just made some
more folks happy sending them their new bundles of joy. This is
Audrey's second linnie purchased from us.

Dec. 1, 2004
Hello to all ! I have been a lurker here for a little while,
learning
as much as I can about my little bundles of joy that were on order.
They arrived last Sat. safe and sound and I am so happy. They are
adorable ! Cute, quiet, intelligent, silly, fun...I can go on and
on.
The Boys (as I call them) are two brothers. The cobalt boy is named
Lazuli (after the semi precious stone Lapis Lazuli) and my green boy
I figured, hey he's green so he must have a wee bit o' Irish in him,
is called O'Reilly. Just had to tell all how adorable they both are.
My hat is off to their breeder (Joanne and Louis Cormier) for all
the
time they have taken to answer my countless emails and questions and
for taking the time and effort to raise such adorable little scamps.
I couldn't be happier. Linnies rule ! Kerri

Hi Joanne. Just had to
let you know that I think that both of the boys are talkers !
Although I can't quite make out what they are saying. (they tend to
chatter quietly to themselves) too cute ! Mr. O'Reilly is quite a
smarty pants and has learned how to unclip and push out his seed
dish. They are shredding newspaper as I type this. I was thinking of
trying to sprout their seeds for a treat and was wondering if you
could tell me how to do this ? Thanks so much, talk soon, Kerri

Oliver
is
a real delight! He loves cuddles, and lying on my chest and being
petted and held. He loves little blue and gives her kisses.... I
left them together for a couple of days (longer in the cage) and
they bonded more. He is a boy though and adventerous but has
learned where good perch places are, e.g. I am at Michael's desk
but he is sitting on mine about 3 feet away.
I love YOUR BIRDS as they are such
cuddley babies.....and thank you so much for my Oliver.
If I get my hands on a digital
camera from one of the kids over the holidays, I'll send you some
pics.

December 6, 2004, Jo received
this:
Hi Joanne
Guess what Emily Belle was
sitting on my right shouder and suddenly out of my left was:
"pretty pretty pretty bird" and
"purr.... here, kitty, kitty"
at first I did not think
anything, then I said gee, it is NOT clear,
and OH Wow - little blue is on my
right shoulder and Oliver is on my left!
So he is very bright NOT only has
he mapped our whole house! but he has learned to talk.!
thx Audrey

So folks as you can see by the above and the sounds of
things, all three of these smarty pants are gonna be talkers!

Nov. 19, 2004
The little one is sitting on top of
his cage. He hopped on my finger as soon as I put it in the
travel box. We talked all the way home in the car, as he has
quite alot to say. What an adorable cutie! Thank you so much. I
am impressed with the travel cage too; nice sliding "door" at the
back. I will be off to get some Zupreem in the next few minutes.
Of course, I'll keep you posted as things develop too.
............later that day..........
Topaz has been riding around on my
shoulder, sitting on my head and holding onto my shirt collar. In
other words, he feels quite at home. I got some Zupreem and mixed
it with the seed and egg mixture and he must have spent an hour
munching on that. I still had some rope that was sold at one of the
bird club meetings so he now has something to climb up. He comes
out of the cage with "up", quite easily, so I am pleased. He is
very well socialized and has lots of energy. I love the colour of
his beautiful blue feathers! He's a sweetheart!
Pam

Kandy here folks and you'll never guess who I am. Jo
has spoke about me quite often, but you probably know me as Kane.
The top picture here trying to get my red hat on and away from
Radar, I might add!! Yesterday Gabbie left for "his"
long ride and we hear he has made it just fine and they are
absolutely delighted with "him". Jo thinks she should have
dubbed him Gab, not Gabbie! He left here weighing in at 156
(or was it 158 - we wrote it in his report card and forgot to write
in our book) so that's one nice boy. Jo talked to his new Dad
last night and they were quite impressed with him, which makes Jo
quite happy. That leaves me (formerly known as Kane - but Jo
thinks I's is a little girl and means she got the name Kane from
Candy cane, has now taken to calling me Kandy) and Radar here.
Oh and we must not forget the three scamps in the brooder. Jo
thought we grew like weeds, holy cow, those guys in the brooder are
awesome BIG weeds! That's me in the top picture here first
inspecting the basket making sure it's O.K. to put them in, then
keeping guard over them, whilst Jo is cleaning their brooder.
...Course she also has a sharp eye on me. Can't imagine why,
not as if I'd poke at those big weeds or something!
Suppose your all wondering who Casey is in the picture here.
That beauty belongs to a lady in NFLD and she could not resist
sending Jo a picture of him eating Healthy Bird mashes. Sure
looks like he is enjoying them.
Then of course we have our famous lovebirds and one lone linnie
out playing on their new gym. Splash (that's the name of the
little linnie) is going to live with (get this!!) Stormy, Sky and
Skiddles! Oh ya and JoJo lives with all these guys, that's the
red belly baby who left not long ago.
Our little slate cinnamon seagreen is spoke for, as is the little
beauty beside her. Rest in these pictures are up for adoption
though.
Did Jo tell you her big Sandy perch order is in. Just in
time for Christmas!
http://healthybird.net/Sandy%20Perch/Sandy%20Perches.htm should
take you to that page and you can see all the nice new neat stuff we
have here. She probably also told you we now have Harrisons,
Scenic, Zupreem (new flavours) and Pretty Bird Gold Harvest pellets.
We also have this wonderful new parrot seed mix and a buffet supreme
parrot mix, but I don't think she has them on the site yet.
You could ask her, I'm sure she would not mind. Her and Lou
have decided that come spring, they are making a shop just for
Healthy Bird. Jo has been decorating it in her head for three
weeks now, since they have decided. She is excited!
But now means it is Christmas month and Jo has tons to do, like
get out there and vacuum the big guys floor for starters, I guess I
had best get back in my cage and take a nap for now.

--- Just want to send you a big thank you for such a lovely
and well trained bird. I had no idea that he could do the step-up
command but as the paper said that you sent with him he certainly
did...wow, what a surprise that was. I will re-name him(???) Sunny
as The female I plan to get will eventually be called Cher after my
girl friend. Once again thanks.
So folks as you see, our first
two senegal babies will BOTH be called Sunny!

Jake cleaning and preening, getting all ready for Santa.
Not a bad shot, considering he is all tucked into Jo's neck and she
is also the one snapping the picture!

George, Jake and their two siblings resting on Jo's shoulder.
Then we have Jake again, strutting his stuff.

As usual we are going to apologize for not keeping you's all
updated this month. Tis the season and man it's a busy season
for JO! We will be back soon

And we're back to show you Tickles, Giggles and Wiggles!!
We are not quite sure who is who yet, but we can tell you two of
these handsome guys are now dubbed Tickles and Giggles. UPDATE:
THird guy is now Wiggles and going to live with Tickles and
Giggles!! They
are going to live with a new wonderful family in Riverview, N.B. Jo
is busily making up their feeding schedule, habits, toys, sandy
perches, supplements, foods, happy huts, you name it, all in
preparation for their departure.
Now folks you can see why Wiggles has to go with Tickles and
Giggles. And as you can also see from these big smiles, Mom
told me these kids are not just counting down to Santa, they are
countin down to two days past Christmas when they come to pick up
their new family members! They must have read the Parrot Bill
of Rights Jo just put on our Home Page, as they have been flooding
Jo with questions on their care, toys, habits, nutrition. All
the questions Jo likes to answer as she loves it when folks ask,
ask, and ask more questions until they are comfortable with bringing
their new members home.

They are funny and the cutest little things I ever saw!
We have one real little rascal! #94 I think he will be Tickles,
maybe nicknamed Rascal, he just pushes his way around, was sitting
right in the seed dish while every one was eating, they weren't
interested in breakfast, wanted to munch on seed. I didn't get them
out because the baby wasn't awake and i was afraid I wouldn't be
able to get them back in the cage fast enough if he woke up. I woke
the birds up at 7:30, I just couldn't wait. They are so
entertaining, hanging upside down to get a drink, every time I go
near the cage they scurry right over wanting to come out. Tickles
has a personality like my 8 year old. that little rascal was so
quick, every time I went to open the door to put their breakfast in,
he was right there trampling over anyone in his way to get to that
door!
They are just the greatest, I am so excited.
trish
These folks are so excited, when Jo and Lou delivered their new
three babies, complete with cage and goodies, they had already
printed pictures from Jo's site and had a marvelous scrapbook done.
This scrapbook had a page for good foods, danger page, pictures, and
spare pages to put pictures and updates after the new babies
arrived. Jo was very impressed as it was just beautiful.
They are delighted with their new babies.
Now tomorrow we must really get some new pictures up here of JoJo,
the new sennie baby. Boy's can their be a difference in weight
in those guys. Dear JoJo is weighing in at 150, while the
second hatched is a whopping 172 and the third one, Jo has dubbed
Tigger is 148 grams. Jo used to call No. 2 Paige but has
changed the dub to Chub! We also have to get some close up and
personals of Radar. His/her pasttime is laying on the back, in
the corner of the cage, playing away. It's funny, as this one
is not so keen to lay on her back in Jo's hand, but now Kandy loves
laying on her back in Jo's hand. Kandy was a real nibblier,
but Jo thinks she almost has her cured of that habit. Today
she was just a sweetheart.

I don't think Jo ever tires of saying how cute she thinks we are
at this age, about three weeks old. Just like the linnies, we
are just tripping and hopping all over this brooder. The big
reason JO is always laughing at us, is our punk, straight up hair
dos! Little punk rockers! I am a little
cinnamon with a beautiful blue rump feathering in. One sibling
there is going to be a double factor violet and the other champ we
are not exactly sure yet.
