I think Santa Santa may be checking in Early! Wanta ya think?!

Sorry, we know we missed November completely!  15 hahns babies along with the rest of the crew is enough to keep anybody busy!!    W

A couple excerpts below from Hahns owners that went to their new homes with week.

Danielle has been doing excellent with her. Each morning I will get her up out of bed by saying lets go feed Izzy and she gets out of that bed so fast you wouldn't believe it. She helps me get her food ready and then we bring Izzy in to wake Steve. Its pretty amazing how attached we are to her already she is apart of the family we all enjoy her to pieces. Also Danielle enjoys holding her and always wants her on her arm. Its funny because as soon as I put Izzy on her arm Danielle immediately asks for a toy for Izzy because she knows that keeps her occupied from exploring her ears and skin. LOL. For a 2 and 1/2 year old I never would have thought she would have done this well. I'm impressed.

Hi Grandma Jo;

Liza, Higgins and JoJo here.  We're using Mom's computer to send you a HUGE HUGE Thank you for all the new toys mom brought home with Liza. They are the best ones yet!!!!!  The extra long, large boing with all the toys on it is sooooo much fun.  We told Mom to send you pictures. The huge hanging toy with everything our little heart could want on it is to die for :).  Oh and we are sooooo comfy sitting on our new dragonwood perches............man they are nice.  We feel like we are in the jungle sitting on them.  These toys are the best yet, please keep your new supplier as we want Mom to get us tons more!!!!!

Are you sure Mango is a bird & not a horse? He sure eats like a horse. LOL We haven't put the swing up yet, we're trying not to overwhelm him with everything at once but as soon as it's up you'll be first to get a pic. Other pics will be coming sooner. What a busy little bird he is, he' plays, eats, flies, eats, preens, eats, naps, eats. I think I heard him eating in the middle of the night last night.L

Have no fear folks, we have lots of hahns babies left! We are currently feeding 8, of which 6 are available.  These babies will not be ready for new homes until sometime late January.  The sexing on this crew should be back any day and we will update their Nursery Page.

We should also let you know for CHristmas we will be getting senegal and red belly babies!  Yepper, one week before the big day, these babies should make their entrance into this huge world.  Who knows we may get a Christmas Baby.  In all our years of breeding that would be a first!

Way down yonder here you will see SKritch, a little blue linnie from PEI on his new acrylic playstand from Healthy Bird.  This is another new item for Healthy Bird and we are really impressed with them.  Skritch and his buddies (not in the picture) sure love it, along with the other truckload of new toys and gyms their Mom took home for them!!

Hi Jo! Just wanted to let you know that our little Winnie (lovebird pictured next door here) is doing great! She's settling in really well, but I wanted to ask... are you sure you gave us a bird because she's more like a little puppy dog! Hahaha, She's not afraid of anything, extremely curious, very friendly with everyone, and there's nothing she loves more than taking a good long nap on our shoulders. She's even started eating birdie bread and loves it! Here's a picture I took of her after her first bath, I could hardly turn on the tap fast enough for her!!!

Well I don't know about you folks, but in my reading my Journal here, this is two folks comparing their new family members to puppies!! LOL

***************************

Well Jo, It's been one week now since Liza has come home.  To tell the truth I'm totally shocked at how things have turned out, yet come to think of it, I don't know why I am???  Of course it would turn out this way since all the birds came from you LOL.  JoJo as you know was a friend at first site, walked right up to Liza and put his head down for a good preening LOL.  Course Liza had no idea what he wanted.  But Higgins is the biggest shock!  He has been such a clip on with me that I figured for sure that it would take months, if ever, for him to accept Liza.  Well I think Higgins and Liza must have heard the term "honeymoon" period and took it to heart.  Within a couple of days Higgins has gone from "who the heck are you" to "man oh man head over heals in love" :).  The best part is they love to be together WITH ME :).  Higgins is not the least bit jealous of Liza.  In fact he loves to preen her while he gets preened from me LOL.  And if I'm preening her then he just wants to help LOL.  I'm sending you some pics so you can see what I'm talking about LOL.  Notice in one that I'm rubbing Liza under her wing and Higgins has turned his head totally upside down trying to get a preen too LOL.  Liza, OH MAN, what a sweetheart.  Just loves to curl up in my hand and cuddle!!!  No wonder Higgins is sooooo taken with her, he has good taste!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The above and below shots here would be "Kramer" showing off!  This dude LOVES to just lay around, feet up, playing away, not a care in the world!

We have about 5 here, that this is their favorite position!

Now this is the way to get your picture taken.  Hide the face with the feathered ones!

THen we have the birthday boy! FINALLY a teenager.  You know, the age where they "think" they know everything but actually "don't"!  He picked out his own cake and this was his choice.
