FEBRUARY 2005 JOURNAL
|
HI There Folks, I wonder if Jo explained to this baby Chub here, that this is his Cupid. By the looks of poor Cupid's eyes, she's not impressed either!
Lookie up and down a bit and you'll see beautiful pictures of JoJo
that his new parents sent to Jo. He is in his new home and is
being treated like the Prince he is!
The scoop on this picture of a dirty floor you ask. Well it's kinda funny really! Dave and Jennifer, JoJo's Mom and Dad both figure they should have equal time, 50% each with JoJo. Seems only fair to me. Somehow Dave dosen't figure he is getting his 50% time share with JoJo. Jennifer and JoJo have that all figured out! Jennifer gives JoJo his treats, JoJo eats treats making sure all the mess falls to the floor, Dave gets to clean mess whilst Jennifer and JoJo go have a little relax time with full bellies! Sugar by the way is doing marvelous in her new home and Jo hears from her Mom continually. She has now added step up to her vocabulary. Jo now has Kane talking with his first words being none other than Nite Nite! All sennie babies are now ready to go to new homes by the way. Have any of you ever heard of the famous atoms and orbits? Well stay tuned, as within the next week or so, Jo will have them all available here for you to see and purchase! They are some kinda nice! She also has a wonderful selection of avian toys coming in with this order. Other than our sennie babies and weaned silver whiteface lovebird babies, we are in a little break mode. No babies to handfeed! That will be pretty short lived, have no fear. Linnies are laying, lovebirds are laying, red belly is building, meyer is building, brown head is building, hahns, well they are just playing with Jo's emotions!! She now has Peppe and Bonita about 1/2 inch from eating out of her hand. While they are in the nest box all the time, Jo figures they are having far to much fun playing to go to nest. Jo figures she'll have some eggs just when she least expects it. Oh my gosh folks do we have the scoop of the year tonight! Of course you all know Jesse, our grandson. The babies know him only too well, he is always here visiting, or we are running to watch all his hockey games, Pere Pere taking him skating or to his friends, we just love him to pieces. Well while that love won't change, we have a NEW ONE ON THE WAY!! That's right, our second grandchild will be making his or her entrance October of this year. Only Louis knows how much Jo would like a granddaughter, but we'll be happy with either sex happy, healthy baby. Of course Chantal and Vance are still dancing, they have been waiting since their marriage last year for this event. Now we're off and running again. As you can see, we have been working on Healthy Bird Delights. By the end of this evening, it should be completed, so we'll be back to fill you in on the scoop. Guess we could probably tell you though, that we have lots of eggs!! Guess JO had best get the Nursery updated for you guys next! Now the little guys in the pictures here ask if you will please excuse their scruffiness. They are molting and a little messy looking! Jo's gonna ask if she can borrow Kyle here to read to her guys. He is reading Goosebumps to Giggles, Wiggles and Tickles. He gives all the birds "Talking Lessons" daily. So far Sugar is doing great with Step Up, Nite Nite and Pretty Bird. By now I'm sure everyone thinks we have all given up on the Journal here at Tiny Rascals! Not so, Jo has just been so busy, as well as the fact she is playing catch up with her paperwork for Healthy Bird, as well as the fact she has been busy ordering NEW BIRD TOYS for all you guys and us guys! Now I would think new toys would take preference over the Journal any day in our eyes! Have you all clicked onto the new link Healthy Bird Delights above here and checked out the new sections. Today Jo also ordered a whole slue of books in case anyone is interested. She does not have them listed yet, but I can give you some clues ...... Bird Nutrition and Recipes and Make your Own Toys, and Healthy and Illness and Posters and and and...........well you'll just have to check it out when she gets them on the Avian Page! Lots of folks now have their CaCaCapes and just love them. Which, come to think of it, JO has a picture she is supposed to get up here for you guys with JoJo and his new Dad sporting the CaCaCape. Another week and the big rest is over here (what rest Jo says?!) We have Nadine and Nigel, Rosa and Reg, Tula and Grady and Lucy and Linus, all linnies, and all sitting on big clutches. Tula is pulling another famous act and sitting on seven eggs yet again. Are they all fertile this time round, we have no idea as Jo does not check them. Usually anyway.............she discovered Rosa sitting on seven eggs today. This is highly unusual for Rosa, Jo was mighty surprised to see this many. In counting, Jo thought the egg at the front of the pile looked a little clear. Sure enough, that one was not fertile, so we gave her a smaller pile to keep warm. Jo did not check any further, what will be, will be, she says. We have lots of folks waiting patiently, so hopefully all goes well. Then we have a little man in Toronto waiting patiently for a lovebird friend to share his cage, and hopefully we'll have his friend hatch next week as well. Only one pair of lovebirds hatching right now as with these linnie babies coming, we don't want too many at once. Would take all the fun out of the handfeeding and playing if we had too many to tend to at once. Kane (Kandy as Jo finally started calling her this week) is just a going concern. She gets up on the shoulder and leans her head way down for her scrinch. We have yet to figure out why she literally does not fall to the floor as she just melts into Jo's chest, her whole body just goes limp as she turns her head all around making sure she are no spots being missed! 6:15 every night, up into her happy hut she goes. Jo has her home parked not far from her computer desk. These guys don't need clocks, or lights. Puff, Nite Nite she says, up into her Happy Hut and she AIN'T coming back out. It's bedtime for her and That's That's!! Why she has picked 6:15 we don't know, as normally the Babies Room lights are only out at 7.
