Sunny Posing after my morning bath
What do ya think....My Right Side or My Left Side? Either way, I think I'm pretty handsome!
Oh ya, going concerns, that be us guys! And eat, Oh but are we masters at that art! Raw cranberries, carrots, cabbage, brussel sprouts, eggplant ..........well that we'd take it or leave it, celery..love it.....apples, blueberries, grapes, watermelon, pomagranite......see the mess we make on the walls with one of those beauties. List is endless. Did we tell you "Misty" the red belly is now known as JoJo? Jo's nose is so far up in the air, we don't think it will ever come down! He (as we think he is a "boy) is going to live in Fredericton with Sky, Skittles, Stormy and Malie. Three of Jo's linnie babies and a lovebird. As you can also see next door here, some of us already are liking it laying on our backs. Course Jo never had a camera handy the other night, when Miss Kane jumps on the top of Jo's glasses. Jo cups her hand around Kane's back and leans forward. Off come the glasses with Kane muckled right on. Jo lays him down on the top of the cushion chair, he lays there, on his back, playing away with Jo's glasses. Jo has a sandy perch play low to the floor in our condo. We just love hanging from that by one foot, our back resting on the floor and the other foot playing with the foot toy. Kane there, that's the dude hanging under the linnie, still has a few more manners to learn as he does not realize how hard he is nibbling when he's playing. The rest of us are just the most loveable, cuddlie babies going! JoJo, well he's pretty independant and does care so much for all the cuddles and kisses that we love so much. He tolerates it, but he'd be much more content just to have a good head scratch. Well now it's my turn. Gabbie here, sitting comfortably on Jo's shoulder supervising, while preening Jo's hair, rearranging her glasses and watching cartoons . Next door here you have Pig Pen and Petey's babies, so I'm told. They are the three sitting proud right under the picture of my sibling laying on his/her back. The one on the far left is going to be called Sunsplash, the one in the middle we are not sure, but the one on the far right is going to be known as Jade in her new home. She has been DNA sexed and we are now waiting for the sexing to come back on Sunsplash. Then right below them you see a little cobalt linnie in their favorate position, hanging upside down! Jo has put a thick braided rope from one corner of the ceiling in our room to the other and man oh man do we all love that. At one end she has hooked a big stainless steel bucket just caulk full of toys. Those three lovebirds love to get right in that bucket and play to their heart's content. Then us big guys get out and at that bucket. We don't just get in and play, we do the play and turf game. Pretty much the same thing we do with our veggie dish. Take a bite, turf, another piece, another bite, turf. Now Jo had best get on the ball and get more pictures up here. We have five babies from Cookie and Coby, we have five babies from Misty and Noah, we have three babies from Tula and Grady, we have three more sennie babies but they are still with Mom and Pops right now. All in all, keeping Jo pretty, pretty busy! Most of the above babies are still in the brooders and not even feathered out yet, so while they do not demand playtime out, they do demand that nice warm food every 3-4 hours! O.K. I'm here (JoJo) and I gotta be quick as everyone else is napping and Jo is one busy Mama. Me, I am getting to go to my new home this weekend and my new Mom is driving Jo nuts with questions, concerns, and just making sure my new digs are 100%. Heck she even has Jo making a big batch of pumpkin bread for me to take home with me. Jo can get away with talking about my new Mom this way as they are good friends. See the little sky blue linnie in the basket down below trying his darnest to get out. Guess this was cleaning time for the brooder, so they got stuck in a basket with Jesse babysitting them. Anyway, he's coming to live with us as well I hear after he's good and weaned. That brings the total to four linnies now that live at my new house. Now for the cutest news. The the big foot next door here, with his one perfectly manicured white toe nail. His/her name is going to be JoJo as well and is going to live only about 5 kms from my new home! His new parents (he's a senegal by the way) called Jo the other night to tell her his new name. Guess that was his new Mom's nickname as a child as well. Jo is just mystified over the one white toe, but is assuming the parents obviously have a bit of pied in them! How unique for this guy! Now that Tex and Sasha have hatched and stuffed three out of three babies, JO is hoping they take a break. If not, she plans on blocking their box off and forcing a much needed rest. Back to back clutches is enough. We have senegals babies ready to go this week if your looking for a new family member and Man oh Mr. Man are they adorable. Love their cuddles, kisses and playtime so much. Jo has the hardest time trying to feed babies if they are out playing as they are all over her like velcro. Finally she usually gives up and puts them back home till she's done feeding. We have me going to my new home this week, Sunny is going early next week, linnies leaving tomorrow, Sunsplotch left last night (a pied lovebird), Jade one of his siblings is leaving Saturday, O'Reilly and Lazuli (two linnies) are leaving Saturday, then we have a another green linnie leaving Saturday, going to live with a sky blue baby Jo sent them last year, then we have the violet seagreen sibling of Sunsplotch also leaving Sunday, Gosh is that it? Lots of these guys are leaving on the planes, so lots of preparations under way. Oh and the nice slate whiteface baby way, way, way at the top of our picture side. Well he is reserved and Jo says his new family is leaning towards the name George for him. He has been DNA sexed, so we knows it's a boy! THe second baby down, a pied cinnamon lady has also been reserved. Then we have a DNA sexed silver whiteface baby boy, that has not been reserved, cause your interested. The last sibling of those four, is another pied cinnamon lady, also not spoken for yet. Jo was going to keep her, but is still thinking on this one. We also have silvers and silver violet weaning, along with some slate seagreens and we are not sure what all other mutations yet. Just in case your wondering, we also have a huge sandy perch order with lots of new toys, perches, ropes and goodies that will be here next week, just in time to get Christmas presents. Also Jo has a new selection of toys she bought in, but has not had a chance to get them posted on the sites yet. Oh and can't forget we also have the new Avian Entrees zupreem pellets as well as Harrison's pellets now in stock. Jo's been one busy camper! Now I told you this was going to be short and sweet, but Jo got big bunches of kale last night at the grocery store. That has to be put to soak then the lovebirds love to roll and bath in eat! Let's see what the senegals do with those big leaves! To date, Jo has not given them whole, just chopped them. Then Jo had best get our bread made and some new pictures taken and posted to keep all you folks up to date here. A few more pictures for ya's. Especially of George and his siblings before they got their first hair cuts. As you can see one figured Jo needed her glasses cleaned, then good old George, well his face is always first in the food dish. We know where his priorities are! A lot of the babies left on the weekend to go to their new homes and Topaz's Mom (cobalt linnie) emailed today (again I might add) to say Topaz was in his glory, sitting on Mom's shoulder while she was working away on the computer. O'Reilly and Lazuli's Mom emailed today to tell Jo they got a spray bath and she was thrilled at the way they literally hang upside down, wings wide open, just loving every minute of it. Jade is also now at her new home and her Mom is overjoyed. And we must not forget JoJo who is also now at his new home. The only way to describe his new Mom is to say she feels she has to keep pinching herself to know that it's true. She has one beautiful red belly baby in her home and the whole family adore him. We also had more babies leave us, but we have not gotten all their new names yet. Sunny here folks and tomorrow's the big day for me. I'm moving
on outta here and going to my new home. Hope my new Mom and Dad
are as happy with me as JoJo's new Mom is. Jo got this
email this morning with permission to
post it if she so wished. Of course I do Gail!! Thank you
and I'm so glad you are happy with JoJo.
