Getting some snuggles in Canada Day Weekend.

TRIPLET SNUGGLES

And this is what Dakota looks like after supper!  Good side of this is they love having their faces washed with a nice warm cloth!

See how we've grown!  We are now maturing almost on a daily basis and just amazing Jo.

Jo was changing their dirty perch today and Dakota was watching her hand and her every move.  Not with fear or nervousness, just out of sheer intelligence Jo says and being so inquisitive.

Jo, Jo's friend and bird-sitter gets to play with all of us, whilst Jo tries to get us washed up from supper. Jo loves coming to visit us.

Trixie, well she hates getting washed up after supper,  UNLESS she is getting snugged at the same time that is.  Dakota, well he almost pushes to get to the washcloth.  He LOVES it, nice and warm!!!  Jo is spoon feeding us and man oh man, you ain't seen a mess, till you saw us! Well ya, I guess you have.  Dakota above here!

Half hour to feed them, one hour to clean them, perch, walls, floor, me up!!

Dakota, who ALWAYS has to be first, decided I wasn’t fast enough tonight, so jumped right into the dish, then pranced up and down the perch before I even had the other two out of the cage to eat!  As you can see he is looking pretty proud of himself

Dakota who must have rolled this pea around in his mouth for half an hour after getting it out of pod.  I don't think he ever did eat it!

Trixie and Pippin

Pippin's favorate hang out.  Sittin in the foot toy basket!

So now your probably wondering why Jo has stuck one of our babies pictures way down on the page here.

Well cuz, it's NOT us!

That would be Oscar and Joey, two more little baby hahners!!

So as you can see we LOVE our baths!  Big huge bowl of water sitting on the floor for us to bath and what do we do, all three jump into one weenzie dish on the side of the cage, the very minute Jo puts it up!!  It was quite entertaining to watch us.  Today we got our first spray mist.  Jo figured we loved water that much, a hot day, we needed a mist.  All wings up immediately, flapping and quivering  we loved every minute of it as you can see!

As you can see folks, Jessica was here to visit and just adored the Hahns.  This little girl is our neighbor's grand daughter for you folks that have not followed the Journal over the years.  She has loved Jo's birds since she was still in diapers and as you can see, it has not deminished.  She never ever fails to spend as much time as she can visiting Jo and the babies.  Jo thoroughly enjoys their visits, seeing her and her brother's always happy, smilely  faces.  We missed getting pictures of Lucas's smiles this visit.  We just have pictures  you will see of linnies sitting on his lap,  posted in the Journal.

Here folks we have Shazza on his way down to get under the tap for a nice fresh bath.

On the other side we have Higgins.  Meki and Higgins sizing each other up.  Please know there is a screen in between these two!!!

SHAZZA

SINGING

AWAY

SHOW OFF!

is what we

call him!

Me again.  I don't fool around, I want a snack, I just get right in!  Bet ya any treat, you thought I was Shazza, with those big, meltie eyes.  WRONG, I'm Joey and just oh so sweet!

Shazza, big guy such as he thinks he is, taking control and trying to give Oscar a sample of his supper!

Well Jo you did it once again!!!!!  When I fell in love and brought JoJo home from your place last December I thought I had the most perfect bird in the world.  I have felt that way now for almost a year.  BUT it turns out there is actually TWO perfect birds 100_0627in the world and they are now both in my home.  Higgins is a dreamboat.  From the moment he came through the door he has been the most loving, calm but comical, busy little boy.  When I opened the door on his carrier he flew right to me and it's been that way ever since.  Nothing bothers him with the exception of being put back in his cage at night ROFLOL.  Then we have a "catch me if you can" game as he runs around the room :).  Outside of the bedtime ritual, he is so so good at his step ups.  Even when he is in the middle of something ya knowwww he doesn't want to leave, he will still put his little foot out to step up the moment I tell him too.  He and JoJo have fast become best buds which just makes my life perfect.  It so warms my heart to see them together.  Now these two wonderful birds can be pals forever :).  JoJo is an extremely smart bird but I have never seen the likes of Higgins intelligence LOL.  He acts like he is always studying things, be it my face, a toy, or a piece of food before he eats it LOL.  Whenever I speak to Higgins, Higgins will make a few honking sounds like he is responding back to me.  AND THEN as if life wasn't already ideal and could get no better..... what does Higgins do but starts talking LOL.  Last night when I came into the room and said where's Higgins, he said "Hello".  First time it happened I thought Nahhhh he can't be talking already but sure enough he did it two more times during the evening LOL :) it is something else to be always greeted so warmly LOL.  When I was talking to a friend on the phone and was laughing at something that was said, Higgins started to laugh as well :), it was just too cute.  Then when it was time to go to bed.  I told the guys it was nite nite time.  Well JoJo as usually told me "Nite Nite" and then didn't Higgins say "Nite".  So I now have two perfect guys who will keep me company and talk to me.  My most favourite part of the day now is when I'm sitting at my computer reading my emails with Higgins and JoJo sitting on my shoulder :>

There is just no way I would ever get a bird from anyone else,  I would truly be setting myself up for disappointment if I did, as I would never find anyone who could raise a better friend for me, this has been proven to me over and over again.  JoJo turned a year in August and has never once been anything but a true joy of my life and I truly believe it will be like that forever.  Higgins is starting down the same loving path.  I totally expect him to be a true joy and companioin for the rest of my life as well.

Indebted to you forever,
Gail

         Mali (lovebird)
Misu, Teya, Solo (Amer. Cocker Spaniels)

When Lesley and I first saw these wonderful birds at your house, well at first I was a little skeptical, but when I heard “Bella” formerly ‘Pippin’ make that little cry of hers, my heart was stolen by something so small and so sweet. I do not regret for one minute getting this Little Macaw, she is my little girl and I love her. She goes everywhere on my shoulder within the house, curious is not the word, she has to check everything out, and make sure it meets her high standards of taste and/or neatness. She is exactly what you said she would be, Loving, Curious, and a Perfect Little Lady on my shoulder, I have not experienced the fun of her taking a bath yet, but, that is because she is so busy following me around sitting on my shoulder. I learn something new about these gorgeous birds every day, but, the main thing that I have learned is that I WILL BE BUYING MORE BIRDS FROM YOU AND LOUIS!!!! If anyone asks, I will highly recommend you and your Aviary, the work you do to raise these little angels is nothing short of absolutely outstanding!!

Thank-You so much for letting Bella come into my Life, I Love her to death, now I have to train her to accept the Feather Tether, but, with the work you have already done with her, I will not have any problems with that. Our Love to You and All your little Angels there…… J

 All our Love;

I bought 2 breeding lovebirds from Joanne a while back, and have 3 beautiful Babies from them.....
I had a senegal at the time but there was a terrible accident and I lost him, he was my baby..............so I knew Joanne had baby hahns, even though I didn't know anything or not much about them.......I decided I wanted one of them so I bought my little Sweetie Shazza!!............Well he finely came home last friday... and from the time he came out of his crate he has been a Joy....I am so impressed with him I would LOVE to get another one!!.....(maybe later)......they are smart, nothing really bothers Shazza other than when I take Azibo in my bedroom and spend time with him....Shazza ends up in Azibo's cage and starts eating Azibo's food (pellets)....
Shazza would live on my shoulder if I would allow him to..........he has the best personility, hasn't tried to nip or anything........He is an amazing new baby, who will stop me from working every chance he has.....
Joanne Thanks so much he is GREAT!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If I could afford One of the other babies I would......but I can't afford any more time...........eheheheheh

As you can see Pippin, as we call her, did not have an easy hatch.  She needed a lot of loving tender help along the way, right down to cutting her umbilical cord.  We are very pleased to say she is now doing very well.  This is not a procedure we would normally follow.  The Mom and Dad are first time parents and were not furfilling their duties.   Considering they gave us three beautiful babies the first clutch, we have forgiven them completely and hope they will do better next time.
